Embedding images and videos in your forms can help your respondents and they are a great way to make forms more engaging and intuitive.

‍

How to embed an image

To embed an image you will first need to have it hosted in the cloud, for example on Dropbox or Google Drive.

‍

1. Host the image

In this case I will be hosting it on Google Drive:

‍

Then get the url of the image. Depending the hosting choice it may look different.

For the image I am using in this example this is the URL I get from Google Drive: https://drive.google.com/uc?id=1L3pb0JskWU4lZ_nE1Zjvt8qIEEiWF6-i

‍

2. Paste the URL on field description

Once you have the URL you have to paste it on the form builder the following snippet:

[!(<\img src="image-url.com">),(width,height)]

‍

In this example the full snippet is:

[!(<\img src="https://drive.google.com/uc?id=1L3pb0JskWU4lZ_nE1Zjvt8qIEEiWF6-i">),(1600,1030)]‍

‍

Feel free to copy/paste that same snippet to quickly try image embed out.

‍

Important

Embedding external media only works within the description of a field and not the field title.

‍

Here I have pasted the full snippet under the description a form field:

‍

3. Check if it's appearing ok

Lastly, go to your form on any of our platforms (web, iOS or Android) and open the form, you should now see the image coming up.
